Candle Care

For best results and to get the full burn time, we recommend you allow the wax to fully melt to the edge of the jar on every burn especially the first. This can take up to 2 hours. If the wax is not fully melted to the edge, it is unlikely to melt on subsequent burns, leaving your candle prone to tunneling and a shortened burn time.

Trimming the Wick

It is very important to keep the wicks trimmed to no more than 1/8" to 3/16" before lighting. Trimming them longer than this will prevent the wax from pulling up the wick and will cause the flame to burn out.

Gently pinch off the ash or burnt wood. Do not pull off ash that has to be forced off. What needs to come off will fall right into your hand. Be careful not to let any debris from the wick fall into the candle or onto your floor.

Burning Time

It is strongly advised not to burn your candle for any longer than 4 hours at a time.

Why?

Burning your candle for too long can cause discolor to your wax, burn through your wax faster which will give a larger melt pool, resulting in a large flame, smoking and an overheated jar. To avoid this, always make sure your wick is trimmed correctly and extinguished every 4 hours. Please be sure to abide by general safety candle guidelines when burning all candles.

How to reuse Jar

Once you have got the most out of your candle and the wax has reached the bottom of the candle jar you may reuse your jar. Remove the remaining wax by pouring hot boiling water in the jar and allow water to sit for 20 minutes. Wash the jar in warm soapy water and re-use the jar for another purpose of your choice.
